Sarah is a Licensed Social Worker with over eight years of experience in the mental health field. She obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and Master’s of Social Work from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, concentrating on addictions; attachments and interpersonal relationships; and mental health.
Sarah approaches her work through a trauma-informed lens, utilizing modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She has clinical experience across a variety of settings and populations, including community and home-based services, medical detoxification, inpatient behavioral healthcare, and residential treatment. Sarah is passionate about community building and grassroots advocacy, focusing on addictions, homelessness, and systemic oppression.
