Margaret (Martie) Lipman, LMHC


Martie is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with families and individuals (ages 8+) providing counseling and support for mental health struggles, in both English and Spanish. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Florida as well as a Master’s of Counseling at the University of Indianapolis, with a concentration in addictions. 

Martie has clinical experience working with families, trauma, struggles with addictions, the Latinx population, as well as briefly working with individuals on the schizophrenia spectrum. She approaches her work through a trauma informed lens, and utilizes an integrative approach, adapting to the needs of each client. She relies on techniques from modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Psychodynamic Therapy; Systems Therapy; Person-Centered, strength-based therapy; and a growth mindset. Martie is passionate about community building, advocacy work, the importance of balance, intercultural education, and lifelong learning.  Additionally, as a member of the Latinx and LGBTQ+ community, Martie is passionate about serving and giving back to these communities and their members. 

Personally, Martie enjoys ongoing learning (through books, podcasts, and documentaries), spending time with fur-babies, being outdoors, and cooking/baking delicious treats.
