Like most nonprofits, EmberWood Center can always benefit from volunteer participation, so we provide several ways for individuals to get involved and support our organization. Volunteers might be eligible to serve on Board committees. We can always use help with office support, for tasks such as mailings or filing, facility maintenance (if you can wield a paint brush!), and assistance with special events. Additionally, there are opportunities for involvement in direct services, both in our prevention and treatment programs. People with clinical backgrounds, who are degreed and certified, may provide professional services, and some individuals who successfully complete our program continue on to assist with support groups. All direct-service volunteers are subject to a criminal history check.
